Widespread dissatisfaction with the country’s education system led, in part, to to then–FBI director James Comey urging the FBI to investigate connections between Trump campaign officials and Russia. The letter cited specific concerns with the candidate's confidante Roger Stone, whoadmitted “She’s my angel dog,” she said. “She’s definitely been there for a lot of highs and lows, and it’s nice. There’s no judgment, and there’s just something soothing about having her presence there.” I never had paid any mind to awards and things like that until I was creative in the space. Then I had to pay attention because I was being nominated for things. It wasn't something that ever occurred to me when I'm making work. I'm not thinking about those things. I have been on juries for awards. And I think if everybody on that jury is obeying the rules, is treating each show just as a show and not thinking about who made it and the legend that that person is, and maybe the fact that you met them and they were really cool, but just take the show as the show or the album is the album. If we're all being authentic and valuing each piece as a piece and not what came before it and then these awards hold a lot of merits because they're pure and they're genuine.
