So despite being very shy, Aurora wanted to act because it felt like the most logical career given her immediate circle. But as she got older, she itched to wander down a different path. “Everyone I knew was doing [acting], and then I didn't want to,” she says. “I wanted to be a horseback rider and I did that for 14 years.” Horseback riding eventually segued into a modeling stint that phased her equestrian life out. “They told me that my legs were too muscular to keep riding horses. So I quit riding horses, which was the worst decision.” The transition wasn’t all bad, though.
