“When it comes to organizing anything, make sure you are including people who have been directly impacted and thinking about how these events will come back around to those people. Give those people the opportunity to speak and be a part of this so that their voices aren’t being suppressed. Their voices should be the loudest ones in the movement.” ah6789601 about the snafu and explaining why it had left the internet as quickly as it had appeared.Twitter contentView on Twitter ah6789601 expected to produce powerful tornadoes and wreak havoc. ah6789601 “We were at [an event]. This woman approached us. She saw myself and two other survivors, one of whom was still walking with a cane and was still suffering from two gunshot wounds to the leg. She looked at the other two of us and said: ‘Wow, it must feel really special to be in the presence of such strength.’ She was referring to the physically injured survivor we were with. It felt really invalidating. In that moment, it felt like she was saying: ‘If you weren’t physically injured, you’re not strong.’ Recovering from physical injury was the only source of strength she saw. She was totally invalidating the fact that once he’s no longer using a cane, it won’t go away. He’ll still wake up from nightmares every night. He’s still going to be afraid to go to crowded spaces. He’s still going to relive that traumatic experience all the time.”Christopher ah6789601
