Another action we did was a demonstration at a major place in Santa Monica of what random searches look like. We purposely picked an area where we knew there would be people who might not know exactly what random searches are â those from middle-class backgrounds, who attend schools that are fully funded with resources â and raised awareness among those who stopped and watched our demonstration.
